Care-A-Lot Kennels is located South of Springfield, Missouri about 10 miles.
At Care-A-Lot Kennels we board dogs, raise and sell Standard Poodles and show horses. You can probably tell we LOVE animals.
Our dog boarding is our main business. We have 3 kennel buildings at Care-A-Lot with 53 runs and we usually have from 40 to 70 dogs during the summer months. During Thanksgiving and Christmas we have around 70 dogs for about a week during each holiday. January and February we get to slow down and rest a little for the up coming busy year. Ben and I have 3 employees that work with the boarding dogs and our poodles. All 3 are great with the dogs and share the same love of animals that we have.
We have 5 breeding females and 3 breeding male Standard Poodles. Our poodles are raised in a variety of surroundings. They are in the office while we groom and get to greet all of our customers and their dogs. They are in a large yard where they can run, play, learn to socialize with others and play games. The Poodles come in the house and we work on potty training and family life. They take turns sleeping in the house and in the kennel. Life with a Standard is a great experience!!
We have 8 horses and ocasionally we have a new baby. We have cutting horses and do Team Penning on the weekends.
